Submitted character story
He is 30 years old, approximately 1.60 meters tall, with a slender but defined build, shoulder-length black dreadlocks with green tips from constant contact with the dense forest. He wears leather clothing made from animals he has hunted himself. He carries a longbow and a scimitar for close combat, as well as a repertoire of electrical attacks.
His strength lies in the trust and camaraderie he shares with allies who earn his trust, and his weakness is the resentment he harbors toward those who harm nature.
Weyden Jinn only knew the nomadic life, traveling with the Fenir following the cycles of the Arrow Forest, which always provided him with what was necessary for a peaceful life in nature. Raised by his adoptive aunt and uncle, Regar and Smatha Jinn, he took their surname since, as far as he knew, he was found by them among the trees on the banks of the River of Beasts.
He does not know where he comes from or what his destiny is, but he trusts that the forest that saw him grow would reveal it in due time, just as it did when he was only a child, on the day of the storm. That night, lightning and thunder split the sky, rain lashed his face, and the wind shook his body. At one point, he felt so hypnotized by such a display of nature's power that he found himself venturing deeper and deeper among the trees, moving away from the caravans.
He reached a clearing where, in the center, he saw a tree being repeatedly struck by lightning. The tree was split open like a black flower, completely charred by the electricity. Suddenly, the storm ceased as if it had never happened in the first place, and among the black charcoal dust lay a single 20-centimeter branch that bore blue marks from end to end, as if a lightning bolt lived inside it. With both fear and awe, he approached and took the branch, immediately feeling the call of the Order of the Storm. Since then, he followed the signs the forest showed him, protecting it and doing the will of Gozreh.
The story begins when the Arrow Forest shows signs of magical destabilization. Weyden is sent by his leader, Sae’La, to seek help from the Council of Seven Rivers. There, he meets the seer Fateweaver, who reveals that helping the Council with the plane's growing problems will allow him to find information about his origins and his true parents. With this purpose, a group of adventurers is formed, consisting of the barbarian Brentil Stonehard, the wizard Astolfius, the cleric Gimryl, and the rogue Rauchard.
After receiving the Orb of Lightning to channel his magic, the group undertakes various missions that reveal a plot involving deities and ancient artifacts. They discover the existence of Asmodeus, a hidden fifth deity whose symbol is a pentagram. In the Meadow, they recover a magical mace after interrupting a bloody ritual, but the weapon is stolen from them shortly after during an assault at an inn, leaving the group without evidence before the Council and losing their official support.
Despite being framed by the leader Agram DivineHammer, they continue to operate in secret for other members of the Council, such as Filiki and Mebar. The search leads them to an underwater temple in the sea, where after overcoming tests of wit and defeating a frost dragon, they obtain Abadar's crossbow, "Balance."
Amidst these travels, Weyden manages to find his brother, Edek, who reveals that his uncle is Ollowen, a member of the Council. However, the situation darkens with the murder of the seer Fateweaver and the theft of the dagger "Premonition." While investigating a secret library, the group discover the forbidden truth: Seven Rivers is actually a prison created to lock up their ancestors, and the official history regarding the salvation of the world is a lie.
Weyden is my first ever character, created in 2019, and one of the most precious to me.
