"story": "The Ashen Wanderer\n\nVorath was once an ordinary man living in Mandalore. He was deeply fascinated by nature and spent much of his time experimenting with magical mushrooms and herbs in search of knowledge, visions, and spiritual enlightenment. During his years of study, he discovered and raised a black wolf whom he named **Fenrir**, caring for him and loving him as a brother.\n\nOne day, Vorath met the love of his life: **Galadriel**, a healer who served the city. She would watch over him during his astral journeys, ensuring that neither he nor anyone around him came to harm. She taught him the ways of white healing magic and mended his wounds with the power hidden within her enchanted hair. Together they shared a dream: to live in peace and save Mandalore from hunger, disease, and evil.\n\nThat dream was shattered when **Strahd**, the Vampire King, descended upon Mandalore. He laid siege to the city, slaughtering thousands of innocents in his quest to enslave its people and seize their food supplies. During the siege, Fenrir lost his life in a devastating blaze, and Galadriel fell in direct combat against Strahd while trying to save a group of children.\n\nVorath collapsed in despair as he witnessed the death of the woman he loved. Before fleeing, he kept a charred lock of her magical hair as a reminder of the one who had stolen everything from him.\n\nAs one of the few survivors of Mandalore, Vorath exiled himself to a remote cave. There, consumed by grief and despair, he surrendered completely to his mushrooms and magical herbs, losing himself in endless visions and astral journeys. Years passed in solitude. Through constant use of these substances, he gradually learned to control and develop the strange powers they granted him.\n\nEventually, after years of isolation, Vorath decided to end his life.\n\nHe gathered every mushroom and magical herb he possessed and brewed them into a single soup. Determined to die from the overdose, he drank it and fell into the deepest astral journey of his life, traveling through countless planes of existence.\n\nThen, suddenly, everything went dark.\n\nWhen he opened his eyes, he found himself standing in Hell, face to face with **Mephisto, the Demon King**.\n\nSeeing how shattered and broken Vorath's soul had become, Mephisto offered him a bargain. He would grant Vorath unimaginable power and the opportunity to take revenge upon the Vampire King, burning down all who stood in his way with infernal fire.\n\nIn exchange, Mephisto would claim his soul.\n\nVorath accepted.\n\nIn that very moment, he awoke from the trance. His body erupted in flames, and his gaze became so dark that those who looked into his eyes felt as though they were staring directly into Hell itself.\n\nAs part of the pact, Mephisto also restored Fenrir to life, returning him as the companion and mount of his new champion.\n\nThus, **Vorath Grievous** became the Spirit of Vengeance sent by the Demon King Mephisto:\n\n**THE ASHEN WANDERER.**\n\nRiding upon the great wolf Fenrir, he wanders the world consumed by infernal fire, haunted by memories of Galadriel, and driven by a single purpose:\n\n**Revenge.**\n\nDuring our campaign, he died in battle, THE RISE OF THE PHOENIX\n\nWhen I died, for the briefest moment, I believed I had finally found peace.\n\nThe voices fell silent.\n\nThe weight of my sins began to fade.\n\nAnd standing before me... was her.\n\nAt last, we were together.\n\nIn her eyes, I saw everything I had ever loved. For the first time in what felt like an eternity, I felt rest.\n\nBut as I looked deeper into her gaze, her eyes began to burn.\n\nThe warmth vanished.\n\nThey turned into a violent crimson.\n\nHer voice, once the sweetest melody I had ever known, twisted into a laugh I knew all too well.\n\nA laugh that haunted my nightmares.\n\nI was standing before Mephisto once again.\n\nBut this time, I was in Hell.\n\n\"You have failed me for the last time.\"\n\nAs he spoke those words, thousands of red-hot chains pierced my flesh and burrowed into my bones. Every mistake, every regret, every loss—I felt them all at once. He forced me to relive every moment of suffering until pain itself became meaningless.\n\nHe tortured me beyond exhaustion.\n\nThen he spoke again.\n\n\"Who said we were finished? Get up.\"\n\nI looked at him through the flames.\n\n\"I'm tired.\"\n\n\"Let me rest.\"\n\nBut Mephisto only smiled.\n\nThen he showed me visions of Galadriel.\n\nVisions I had never seen before.\n\nI saw her as beautiful as the day I lost her.\n\nI saw her alive.\n\nI felt as though she were within reach.\n\nAnd in that moment, something awakened inside me.\n\nAt first, it was fury.\n\nBut alongside that fury came something else.\n\nA spark.\n\nA promise.\n\nA debt.\n\nI could not end here.\n\nNot while she still lived.\n\nSo I rose.\n\nNot because Mephisto commanded it.\n\nNot because I feared him.\n\nI rose because there was still fire within me.\n\nInfernal flames engulfed my body once more, and I showed the Demon King that I would never kneel before him again.\n\nNo more.\n\nMy soul bears his mark.\n\nBut he needs me.\n\nAnd I made certain he understood that.\n\nI have walked through the depths of Hell itself.\n\nI have spoken with the Lord Below.\n\nI have seen the machinery of damnation and unraveled the mysteries of the soul.\n\nI no longer fear the darkness.\n\nI know it from its very core.\n\nThe darkness fears me.\n\nThat is why I have returned.\n\nI have returned because my story is not over.\n\nMy fire has not yet claimed its final victim.\n\nThe Ashen Wanderer is no more.\n\nI am Vorath the Phoenix.\n\nMy vengeance remains unfinished.\n\nThe war is not over.\n\nAnd as long as there is fire within my heart,\n\nHell itself shall follow in my footsteps.. \n\nAt the end of our campaign, Vorath decided to retire from battle and stablished himself in the city of Kresk, where he lived the rest of his days happily with his wife Galadriel, having 2 kids, Varack and Arwen"
