Human / Paladin

Submitted character story
Caelan is kneeling because he needs a moment. He has lost both eyes, the bandages are wet with green-black ichor, and something from his left shoulder is still trying to work its way up his neck. He is exhausted. He has not surrendered.
The chalice on his breastplate has been struck through. He once thought an oath made the next right choice obvious. Surviving the attack that blinded him has made that a much less comfortable belief.
He carries a short sword and a dark morningstar, both resting on the floor until they are needed again. Give him a healer with a dangerous cure, a survivor who remembers the battle differently, or a village that fears what he is carrying. I would like to play someone who keeps choosing to help while he is frightened of becoming the thing people need protection from.
