Submitted character story
You are the protector who chose exile over comfort, who understands that some prices get paid in full and never refunded. You took Old Yost's cart because you've learned to move through the world without demanding it accommodate you, and you investigated the Iron Matron from the shadows because you know monsters when you see them. What brought you back was the memory that curses don't erase duty, that the witch's betrayal changed your body but your oath to protect your homeland remained intact. You help every stranger who crosses your path because stopping would mean admitting the transformation won, that you've become the thing you once hunted instead of the knight you still are. Tables will remember you as the one who proved that heroism isn't about what you look like or where you're welcome, but about who you defend when no one's watching.
Defining moment: Sir Benedict was once a brave knight who served a local baroness, but he was unfortunately bitten by a werewolf and inflicted with its curse. In desperation, he sought out the aid of a witch to reverse the spell, but he was misled by her promise to cure him since she was able to stop the transformation and help him retain his mind, but he was permanently locked in his canine form. Although he'd always been fond of dogs, he knew he'd never be able to remain within human society and took his skills into the wilds in order to protect his homeland from evildoers.
Can't stop helping strangers
