Silver Under Moonlight

Submitted character story

You're the rogue who learned to be The Quiet Strategist because rushing forward already cost you everything that mattered. The moment that brought you back wasn't heroism but desperation, tearing through death's door with a weapon you stole from oblivion itself. Every contract you fulfill for the witch is another day Sun stays dead, and that arithmetic never stops cutting. They'll remember you as the player who made every table go quiet when your patron called in her price.

Defining moment: One ast job... It was just supposed to be one person, in and out of the empty manor and then he'd be done for good, then his normal life with her would truly begin anew... So why was Sun there and why did other guys members show up? He has her hide away upstairs as he confronts them. They can't simply let Silver walk away from his life of crime and connection to the guild, so now they're here to kill him just like they did to his brother so many years ago. He resists, fighting fast and carefully but they outnumber him and begin wearing him down. The leader rushes forward to deal the killing blow but it doesn't reach Silver's chest... Sun jumped in front and took the fatal hit instead... And as her body hits the ground, something snaps... Silver becomes a blur of blades and fury, even taking down a few of the bandits before the others retreat at the sound of the guards coming. Silver is left all alone in aftermath of the struggle, blood soaking into his fur and coating his blades, crying as he cradles the limp body of his love now gone...

He gets arrested and charged with the murders of the bandits and Sun, sent to prison and falling into a deep and self-destructive depression. He escapes, commits sloppy crimes, gets arrested again, only to escape and repeat the cycle... That is until one day his body gives out during his last shoddy attempt and he falls to his death... Floating aimlessly through the streets of the city of the dead until being pulled into the city walls with all the other doomed faithless, awaiting their eventual oblivion. But he feels a warmth, something pulls him from the wall and their a light. It's warm and familiar and he needs to reach ot. It guides him back to the doors of death and he feels it just past the hulking mass of bone and precious metals. But something huge notices that Silver isn't where he's supposed to be and it begins approaching. There isn't much time, so Silver being to reach forwards and tear away at the door, he needs to get through. As he pulls out a sharp and thin twisted metal pipe, the being grabs a hold of his body and lifts him into the air. Without a second thought, Silver slashes the scrap towards the bing as a golden light spills out from the wound and the rapier finds its proper shape once again. The being drops Silver and he falls once more about the hit the ground hard...

Only then to find himself waking back up clutching that very same rapier, it now in the home of a witch claiming to have brought him back from the beyond. Now he owes her a debt and not one easily repaid, but a deal was struck nevertheless. If Silver repays his debt as well as lend her a hand with her own objectives, the witch could even bring Sun back to him once and for all...

Now he moves forward with newfound determination, as well as some newfound magical abilities tied to the realm of the dead.
