Defining moment:
Returning from a three-day tracking expedition, Silver neared the clearing only to be struck by a heavy, suffocating silence. No smoke drifted from the chimney. No laughter echoed from the yard.
Inside, the cabin was frozen in time. A half-carved wooden toy sat on the table. A kettle rested cold on the hearth. There were no signs of a struggle—no upturned chairs, no spilled blood, no broken glass. Her family had simply vanished into thin air, leaving nothing behind but a lingering, unnatural chill.
Silver did not weep; she weaponized her grief. She strapped on her leather armor, slung her longbow over her shoulder, and checked her tracking knives. If the world would not give her answers, she would hunt them down.
