You are the wizard who learned control not from a teacher's patience but from staring into something that should have consumed you. Riding in Old Yost's Cart taught you that the best magic sometimes looks like choosing the slower path, the one that lets you think three moves ahead. What carried you back from the dark was not raw power but the cold clarity to close what you had opened, to unmake your own mistake before it unmade you. Now you carry the knowledge that your curiosity has teeth, that every portal you draw and every spell you shape could be the one that bites back harder than your defenses hold. When the campaign ends, they will remember you as the strategist who never cast a spell without counting the cost first.

Defining moment: Late at night in her studies, Sapphire opened a portal as part of her magical training.  She summoned a malevolent otherworldly entity, but through quick thinking and steeled resolve, she closed the portal and sent the being back to its home plane.

Graceful and courteous, with a thirst for knowledge and wisdom.
