Ryvehn Aratea

Shadar-Kai / Sorcerer

Submitted character story

You are a Quiet Strategist who walked through the Blackfen because subtlety matters more than spectacle. The memory of your father riding away, the arranged marriage to the enemy, the portal you tore open in rage, that's what carried you back. But you can't return home, and every scissor blade that cuts reminds you that some escapes cost everything. You'll be remembered as the sorcerer who refused the life she was handed, even when refusal meant exile.

Defining moment: The image of her father riding from her home for the last time, the messenger delivering the news that their regiment was slain on the fields of battle. The loss of her family's status and fortune, and that an arranged marriage to the enemy was to unfold. I'm her sorrow and rage she fled and tore open a portal to a new world and found herself unable to return.
