"story": "Rikaiyu was seen as a curse among her people because of her black fur. She was cast out from her village, and escorted out of the Genso Jungle where it was hidden from the rest of the world. But, as fate would have it, Rikaiyu had to return to the village to retrieve a piece of the Realm Piercer. When they arrived at the edge of the village, Rikaiyu was met by the leader of the Kitsune, called the White Whisper. He denied her access. But before he could completely turn her away, Nekomota, the wandering god, made themself known. Nekomota told the White Whisper that Rikaiyu, as everyone else, deserved to face a trial to enter the village. Rikaiyu and the Whire Whisper faced off in a musical challenge. As Nekomota hummed, Rikaiyu played her shamisen along with the tune, losing herself in the music. She defeated the White Whisper, and proved she was not a curse."
