You are the monster who chose mercy over the only language your captors taught you. You took Old Yost's cart because even at your height, you know the value of arriving slowly, of being seen before you're feared. The night you painted snow red with the goblins who stole your childhood, you learned that freedom tastes like iron and leaves you walking alone. Now you carry a blade that becomes two, because the child they kidnapped and the warrior who survived can never be the same person. Your table will remember you as the bugbear who made them forget what bugbears are supposed to be.

Defining moment: Randy destroyed them that night, his goblin captors and guardians. Once he learned the truth of the kidnapping, the young bugbear couldn't unsee what they'd done to him as a child. As the rage over took him, he'd ripped the only thing resembling parents that he'd ever know limb from limb until they were nothing more than smears in the snow. He walked north and never looked back.
