Professor Fredrick Fernbarrow.

Gnome / Wizard

Submitted character story

He chose necromancy as his specialty. Not for nefarious purposes, but for academic intrigue. Fredrick is a squat and stocky gnome with a brilliant ginger mustache that flares like a phoenix’s tail. He wears a dusty explorer’s outfit with worn boots, a thick belt, and a faded khaki pith helmet. Round spectacles perch on his nose, often fogged from the smoke of his ever-present pipe. He looks like he just stepped out of a cursed ruin, and probably did. He is fussy, fastidious, and fanatically obsessed with the arcane. A natural lecturer, he will interrupt a death battle if he spots a rune he hasn’t catalogued. His mind is a library of lore, cross-referenced in thirteen languages, but he has the social grace of a collapsing bookshelf. Fredrick is a scholar and field agent of the Weave Academy of Arcane Studies and Mystral Sciences Eldoria’s premier magical institution. While many at the Academy debate theory in dusty towers, Fredrick is one of the few who ventures into the world to study magic where it lives. Crypts, ruins, leyline anomalies, cursed forests, if it's magic, he’s been there, documented that. Long Story short, This man knows his shit.
