"story": "Phoenix Wildwood\n\nPhoenix Wildwood grew up in a small woodland community along the Sword Coast outside of the Neverwinter Wood. Phoenix had a good enough relationship with their parents but always felt a bit different (especially as they looked different with pupilless grey eyes, metallic freckles and a small patch of feathers on their shoulders) and had a stronger connection with the woodland animals nearby, as well as their best friend, Elyria, who was half-Elf. \n\nOne day, Phoenix and Elyria were exploring the woods when a swarm of Zerales surrounded the pair. A mighty roar erupted and a massive black bear came to their protection. From that day forward Phoenix and Cedar (the bear) were inseparable.\n\nPhoenix was a kind person and always felt the call to protect those around them and had a strong desire to live in and explore nature. This desire was explained when one night Phoenix had a dream in which Artemis revealed herself as their patron. Thus, when a guide came through their town seeking rest and provisions, Phoenix found their dream occupation. \n\nThragor Stonefoot, a half-orc guide, took Phoenix under his wing to mentor. Phoenix left home at 18 with Cedar to learn the ways of a Guide. The pair spent 20 adventure-filled years together ushering various creatures to whatever land their heart desired. One fateful day, the pair encountered a Paladin with an aura darker than the Black Pits. When Thragor cursed his god, he flew into a fury. Thragor urged Phoenix to escape, but paid with his life. The loss of their companion was a crushing blow, but Phoenix vowed to continue on in his honor and be the best guide in the land. \n\nPhoenix continued on their journey, ever expanding their love of adventure and nature, when they found a quaint forest village to rest for a while. It was here that their soul was moved by glorious music played by a Bard named Grolly. Phoenix met him and immediately fell head over heels in love. Ever since, they have remained inseparable, traveling the land together, engaging in daring adventures on guides, and performing enthralling acts."
