You're the rogue who talked your way past the Iron Matron because violence is a tool you save for those who've earned it. The moment that brought you back wasn't hope or love, it was the clarity of four faces you need to find. You've learned to smile through negotiations while carrying names like coals in your chest, and that division will cost you. They'll remember you as the one who waited years to collect a debt most would have died chasing.

Defining moment: it was a cold evening as Nathaniel returns home from the market with the days food stufs. As he aproaches his home he sees the door open and the lights out. Without hesitating he runs in sword drawn only to see four men masked, hooded and cloaked; two of whom each have his wife and daughter tied up. the fourth one sneaks up on him and grabs him from behind putting a chokehold on him and bringing him to his knees.... they make him choose who to sav, but before he can even thing about it, they kill both his wife and child. They then proceed to beat Nathaniel within an inch of his life and burn his house down with him in it. The men turn to leave but before they do one of them states, its not personal, just business as he blacks out. 

Nathaniel wakes up right outside his door, house burnt the corpse of his daughter and wife laying there. Vowing to the gods that he will not die before vengence is his. 

as he lays there he thinks to himself....no this is not it, I havent even started my vengence...its cant end like this. No this is not how he dies, it is not my time, I will live to find the killers.
