Mor-kand

Dwarf / Artificer

Submitted character story

My name is Morkand Thalkhm, a dwarf whose passion lies in crafting weapons and tools. I was born deep within the Mountain—[Insert Mountain Name]—into the Vorterix clan, a group with a proud, albeit modest, tradition of mining and forging. From a young age, the glow of the forge and the scent of coal and molten metal were my true home.
The War against the Jotnar reached me while I was still just a child. I witnessed firsthand the attack on our clan and the murder of my parents, which left me an orphan. I thought my life was over then, but suddenly, a mysterious figure saved me. I never learned who it was. From that day on, I chose the path of a pacifist; my vow was clear: never to take a life, but to dedicate my skills to helping others. It was some time later that I met Durnan.
