Merric Featherhand

Tiefling / Bard

Submitted character story

Abandoned as a baby on the edge of a halfling village, Merric was taken in and raised by a loving couple, never suspecting for a moment that he was adopted. He had heard the word "tiefling" mentioned in passing, and came to the conclusion it was an abbreviation for "Tall Halfling".
Merric always had a natural talent for music, and eventually settled in a neighbouring town where he became a well known feature at the local taverns. One day, he returned home to find his house had been destroyed in an accidental fire. Never one to dwell on misfortune, Merric decided the gods clearly intended a life on the road for him. And so it was that at the age of 78, Merric set off to become an adventurer and find his destiny, alongside his trusty pet rat: Colonel Bumpersnoot.
