"story": "You are a survivor who learned to talk her way through locked doors on the King's Road. What brought you back was the memory of hiding while your father fought, the choice to never be powerless again. You laugh at the wrong times because silence still feels like that closet, and sometimes charm is just another blade you keep hidden. Tables will remember you as the rogue who turned helplessness into a weapon no one saw coming.\n\nDefining moment: On our way back from the gate we were set upon a small fleet of unknown ships. They appeared to be boasting pirate flags. There was an eerie silence like the calm before a storm that settled on the entire sea. A loud cannon from the pirates rang out shattering the silence and fighting ensued instantly. In what seems like mere moments we were boarded and ransacked by the pirates only they weren’t pirates? They were too well dressed to be pirates too uniformed. My father bursted into our cabin hugged me and handed me a small pack “There’s enough food and water in here to last you for a bit, there’s some gold and drink this if you find yourself under water. Hide here and don’t come out until I tell you to.” He shoved me into a closet and from there is where I watched my father die. He fought offadversary after adversary as they entered the room but soon he was chipped down and exhausted. That’s when a large chubby with a red beard came in into the room aimed a pistol and shot my father through the chest. “Jobs finished sink this piece of shit no one’s making it out alive”he’d say handing the pistol off to some random soldier. As they left they riddled our vessel with holes dooming the ship to the bottom of the sea. Not before the ship exploded though, the blast launching the tiny tiefling a few yards into the vast ocean.\nShe clung desperately to a large piece of drift wood and spent the rest of the day crying her eyes out. Unfortunate for it would have been better to keep what water she could inside her body to avoid dehydration. She went through a lot of her water supply the next day. Whether it be pure luck or divine intervention right when then girl was contemplating drinking the sea water a merchant ship appeared in the distance. They made an effort to get her on board giving her food and drink. The sailors asked many questions but she answered none. At the time she just wasn’t really feeling ready to talk to anyone just yet, going a bit non verbal for a time. At some point during the journey they gave up the interrogation and had reached their destination baldurs gate. Looking back on it she probably should’ve stayed the sailors were kind and might have helped her find a safe place to stay for the time being or she could’ve joined them even. But as soon as they docked she left a bit of gold where she was staying and bolted. Never to see the sailors again. \n\n\n\nLaughs at the wrong moment"
