Maekor Xol

Draconic Elf / Sorcerer/Paladin

Maekor Xol

Submitted character story

You are the hero who turned betrayal into a weapon sharper than vengeance itself. Walking through the Blackfen and standing bold before the Iron Matron proved you no longer fear the darkness that once swallowed you whole. The cold stone, the chains, her silence at the threshold: you carry that tomb with you, and it made you something she never intended. Every flame you conjure remembers the screams in that endless dark, and every oath you swear tastes like the love that died unanswered. Your table will remember the paladin who burns too bright, the sorcerer who keeps his vows, the contradiction who survived what should have broken him.

Defining moment: I feel the cold stone scrape by under me, my breath ragged against the pain in my broken body. I feel the hands that drag me forward, before throwing me down onto the stone floor. Cold steel bites into my wrists and the chains are fastened, but through the haze of pain and confusion my eyes search for her, finally finding her standing at the entrance of what is to be my tomb. My words stumble in the confusion, finally breaking through, “Why? What did I do?” She wouldn’t even look in my direction, and gave no answer to my plea. I would have done anything for her, she was everything to me, my mistress, my world, my love. I strain against my chains, my ruinous flames surging as I screamed her name, not in hate but a desperate confusion, what did I do wrong. The door closes, entombing me in endless darkness and silence, a prison from which there was no escape, not even death.

Brash and Vengeful, but prone to whims and amusement. A man of contradictions
