Aasimar / Warlock

Submitted character story
You are the warlock who knows that light casts the darkest shadows, and you've made peace with what lives in yours. The Blackfen didn't scare you because you've traveled through worse country inside your own skin, and patience is just another name for knowing when the darkness serves your purpose. What brought you back wasn't divine intervention or infernal bargaining, but the cold recognition that you were alive before you were holy, before you were damned, before the creature at your edge learned your name. The laugh comes at the wrong moment because you see the punchline the gods missed: an aasimar bearing the void is still bearing it, still standing, still choosing the next step with a glaive in hand. They'll remember you as the one who refused to be saved or corrupted, who walked a third path the sourcebooks don't have rules for.
Defining moment: I was alive once before, but as something far more frightening , a creature of pure darkness sits at the edge of who I am, not of the gods, not of the devils
