"story": "Defining moment:\nLucien Veyr was born into House Veyr, a wealthy and influential tiefling family known publicly for commerce, diplomacy, and arcane patronage. To outsiders, the Veyrs were merchants and negotiators—people who could open doors, settle disputes, and move goods through places where others could not.\n\nThat was only the respectable half of the family business.\n\nBehind closed doors, House Veyr built its influence through information. Secrets, favors, blackmail, political leverage, carefully cultivated relationships, and intermediaries were as valuable to them as coin. They rarely needed to threaten someone openly. A Veyr preferred knowing the one thing a person couldn’t afford to have revealed.\n\nLucien grew up in that world.\n\nHe learned to negotiate, lie, read people, assume identities, and understand that power did not necessarily belong to the person holding the sword. Often, it belonged to the person who knew why the sword was being drawn. The Missing Seven Years\n\nLucien initially believed the disappearance of his family had happened recently.\n\nIt hadn’t.\n\nEventually, he discovered something far worse:\n\nSeven years of his life were missing.\n\nThe memories Lucien possessed were seven years out of date.\n\nFor seven years, Lucien Veyr had apparently continued living.\n\nTraveling.\n\nMaking deals.\n\nBuilding relationships.\n\nMaking enemies.\n\nUsing names he could no longer remember.\n\nPeople occasionally recognized him—but not necessarily as Lucien Veyr.\n\nThey knew other versions of him.\n\nOther identities.\n\nOther reputations.\n\nAnd Lucien had no idea what any of those men had done.\n\nSo he began traveling under false identities himself, partly out of practicality and partly because every identity became another layer between him and whatever had happened during those seven missing years.\n\nArchetype: You're the The Fractured Continuity. He walks the world wearing faces he cannot remember having earned.\n\nPersonality: Laughs at the wrong moment"
