Lotharius Van Richt

Male Dark Drow Elf • Druid of the Deep Wilds • Former Vampire Thrall-Lord
Age: ~500 years

Origins in the Underdark

Lotharius Van Richt was born into one of the oldest and wealthiest noble houses of the deep Underdark, a drow lineage whose power was measured not only in blades and poison, but in land, trade routes, and ancient pacts. The Van Richt estates sprawled across bioluminescent caverns, fungal forests, and subterranean rivers—places where Lotharius learned early that nature, even in darkness, must be respected or dominated.

Unlike most drow nobles, Lotharius showed little interest in courtly cruelty or Lolth’s endless intrigues. He was drawn instead to the living pulse of the Underdark itself: whispering stone, predatory moss, and beasts older than written history. He was trained in druidic rites that predated drow civilization—rituals whispered to have come from surface elves long forgotten or from entities far deeper than the Spider Queen wished acknowledged.

He may be grooming successors—or pawns—through mind-bound loyalty.
