Submitted character story

Lord Baldur, a scion of a noble family, earned the moniker "Stormbringer" through a harrowing trial by sea and storm. His coastal city faced a dual threat: a monstrous, multi-headed sea serpent hydra and the chaos that followed its attack. Tragedy struck when the hydra, in its rampage, sank the ship carrying Baldur's mother. She was returning from a crucial council meeting debating the expansion of the New Horizons frontier.
Driven by grief and a fierce desire to protect his home, Baldur fought alongside the city's defenders. Crucially, he managed to earn the trust and alliance of a clan of storm giants who, recognizing his valor and leadership, aided the city's defense. Their combined might, alongside Baldur's own prowess, finally vanquished the hydra. The grateful citizens, witnessing his connection to the storm giants and his valiant deeds, bestowed upon him the title "Stormbringer," a name that now echoes with both respect and a hint of awe. Now, Baldur sets out on his own journey, perhaps seeking vengeance, answers about the New Horizons expansion, or simply a way to honor his mother's memory.
