Leo watched his family murdered by monster. He was saved by a blood hunter who took him in and trained him. He then went hunting for the one who sent the monsters and found out it was an ArchFey. When he entered the realm of that ArchFey in the Feywild he met an female Eladrin name Éponine. They, together fought the ArchFey and slew him. They fell in love and were married. 

Years later Leo would be selected to join an elite knighthood as a member of the Vault unit. He served with them for several years before Ep and he received a letter from the ArchFey they had thought dead.  They left, with permission from Leo's captain. They met a group that became the guild MHC. They ended up neck deep is trouble and Leo met the god Hephaestus. He became a chosen of the god. not long after that he a Githyanki  appeared carrying the head of his Autognome captain and told him the rest of his unit was dead and Leo attacked.

During that fight Leo was knock unconscious and as he fell Hephaestus caught him and remade him, replacing his natural bat like wings with ones made of Olympian Bronze. He also was changed from a blood hunter/cleric to being a gunslinging artificer. After the fight he forged his captains head into a shotgun with his captain's consciousness in it.
