Lawrence

Half-Orc / Wizard

Lawrence

Submitted character story

You are the strategist who chose discipline over escape, walking the King's Road when others would vanish. What brought you back was the unbearable arithmetic of guilt: names, numbers, the exact count of lives. Every spell you write in the air is another entry in a ledger that will never balance. Your table will remember the wizard who turned desertion into devotion, cowardice into something harder than courage.

Defining moment: Lawrence carries the guilt of sending nearly a hundred men to their deaths in a desperate attempt to disappear. He watched his superior be executed for a mistake he considers entirely his own. His sister believes he died long ago, and he accepts that as the safest truth for her. He lives haunted by Irina, Legault, and the soldiers he failed to protect. Every day he relives the war, the amputations, and the moment the gods denied him the death he begged for. His life since then has been self‑imposed exile, guided only by routine, regret, and discipline. All of it pushes him toward a single goal: to pay for what he did, no matter the cost.
