"story": "Ok so our DM runs a very anime inspired campaign and I leaned ALL the way into it with Kora. She's basically what happens when you take the Byakugan from Naruto, give it to an 18 year old Kalashtar monk, and drop her into a world where her entire race is almost extinct. She's one of the last of her kind and she fights like she knows it.\n\nHer whole thing is lightning. Tattoos running down her arms that crackle when she channels ki. Astral arms that form out of pure energy when she enters her stance. Open palm. Gentle Fist style. If you know you know.\n\nWhat gets me about her though is the confidence. She's 18 and she walks into every encounter like she's already figured out how to win. Not arrogant. Just certain. Our party has this running joke that Kora has never once looked worried during initiative and it drives our warlock insane because he panics every single combat.\n\nShe was born from the last two Kalashtar alive on Grim Rose. That's a heavy thing to carry at her age. But she doesn't wear it like a burden. She wears it like fuel. She trained, she failed, she meditated until her ancestors on the astral plane answered and gave her the lightning and the astral arms. She earned all of it.\n\nThe hair is my favorite detail. It started normal black but as the campaign went on and she connected deeper with the astral plane it shifted. Now it fades from black into dark blue with actual stars in it. Like her hair holds a piece of the sky her ancestors live in. Our DM described the moment it changed mid session and I genuinely had to sit back from the table for a second.\n\nShe wears a necklace her lover gave her. White diamond with a circle in the center. I won't get into the whole story behind that because I'll be here all day but just know that necklace has been the center of at least three major plot moments and she has never once taken it off.\n\nKora protects people. That's it. That's the whole character. She decided from day one that her job was to stand between danger and anyone who couldn't handle it themselves and she has not wavered from that once. Simple motivation. Turns out simple is the hardest thing to play consistently and the most satisfying when you pull it off."
