Shadar-kai / Sorcerer

Kaelin Moonshade

Submitted character story

You are the hero who thinks three moves ahead, the one who chose the Quiet Strategist's path when others rushed in. What brought you back wasn't forgiveness or peace, but the locket and the smile, losses that carved purpose from grief. You run because standing still means reckoning with who you couldn't save, and that weight never lightens. Tables will remember you as the sorcerer who turned loss into calculated fury, who made every spark count.

Defining moment: It's actually not a single moment. She is first back in the destroyed flower shop. Tears fill her eyes as she picks the delicate locket from the ruins and half dried blood. She clutches it to her chest as she knows her one true friend in this city, the woman she had started to love but not had the courage to tell, the woman she gave this very locket to try and find the words, is dead... because of her. She knew Rose was most likely killed by a rival gang, or maybe Rose's own. Either way, she knows it was because of her.

She runs. She doesn't pay attention to her surroundings until all of a sudden, she's outside, but not in the city, rather a tropical island. She tops the hill and sees Toratha, her husband, the goliath she met in the wilderness after she fled Rose's death, the one she had run away with, married, and settled down on a small what farm with. He is standing before the blue dracolich that has terrified them and their friends since they wrecked on this island. A streak of lightning flashes from the dracolich and Toratha falls. She sees his loving smile and still swears that he winked at her and smiled as his life left him.
