"story": "Juro — The Gentle Giant\n\nJuro was an orphan who survived alone on the streets until he was taken in by Kaien, a blind ratfolk martial arts master. Kaien had already taken in four other boys, teaching each of his sons a different weapon and philosophy.\n\nJuro grew up learning martial arts and the importance of compassion. But when he was older, a ghost from Kaien's past attacked their home. Knowing he couldn't protect Juro and his other sons, Kaien threw Juro from the house and gave him one final lesson:\n\n“Forgive, my son. Protect the weak, and you will find peace within yourself.”\n\nJuro watched his home burn before disappearing into the wilderness.\n\nNow he wanders the roads with his kanabō, helping those in need and asking for little in return. Many see him as a monster because of his size and appearance, but those he's helped know him as a gentle giant and folk hero.\n\nWhen his family is threatened, however, Juro calls upon the spirits of those he lost—fighting not out of hatred, but to protect the family he once thought he'd lost forever."
