Ivar

Tabaxi / Monk

Submitted character story

Ivar was part of a marine crew led by a mysterious demon who never really explicitly said his name, only using S as a moniker. This demon had no details about him, outside of this name and a strange vengeance against a tortle, an autotomon, and a lycan. One day, during a bad fight against enemy marines, S betrayed the crew and left them to die. Ivar survived through sheer force, being taken prisoner instead. He spent some weeks in the ship’s hull before the enemy crew found land and went to resupply and barter for Ivar to be sent on land for whatever purpose he’d be given. Ivar, realizing this chance he had, broke out of the hull of the ship and snuck above to man the ship and steal it away without being seen. Though, he won’t ever say this as the truth, he’ll simply say he fought the entire crew off on his own and stole the ship as a trophy. Only he knows this as false, so he’s seen as a brave hero to those who served and those who will serve in the future. He landed at a monastery and the monks took him in, eventually joining the training. After an incident with a Cambion cat lady and her pet displacer beasts, he ended up adopting one of the now orphaned kittens, naming her Siouxsie
