Hubris had been in the middle of another fight when the shift happened, and the joy of existence, the ecstasy of being, held him in place for a bare moment, before the slight disappointment of a fight cut short tempered it. Then another thought crossed his mind, he knew what he was, just as the others did, a reflection of a shadow, so to exist was against the natural order, he was channeled, not becoming. With those thoughts came a twisting, an unraveling of something deep seated that was wrong, and this sensation overflowed all others. Despite the pain it caused Hubris' eternal smirk remained in place, another challenge to overcome. He'd have to put things back how they should be, or maybe he'd be able to keep things how they are and make reality his own as well.
