Hort was meant to be a one shot character that was just an exhausted wizard who never seen good rest. When the campaign started, his story was realized as he is trying to bring back his dead fiancee (Elise) from the grave using the only magic he can, necromancy. In his search, he found eldritch magics and uses them to enhance his magic at the cost of his body. Losing his arm to a fire spell that was boosted too high, he now uses a magitech arm as his arcane focus by putting a purple gem in the palm. When he adventures, he now dons this black cloak of the archmagi and wears these arm wraps to keep his arms from getting too injured, metal and real. He now carries and axe and a sword that was his fathers before he died.
