"story": "You're a Shadow Investigator because you learned that staying alive means understanding what people hide. The moment that brought you back wasn't courage, it was that key cutting into your palm and the choice to keep running. You carry the weight of knowing your family is safe only because someone decided to spare them, and that debt follows you like a second shadow. At the table, you'll be remembered as the rogue who never stops moving, who trusts patterns over people, and who knows survival is never really free.\n\nDefining moment: Running, jumping, climbing, rooftop to rooftop, gasping for breath. It was supposed to be an easy mark. I should have known better. There was a reason all the swaggering loudmouths at the guild who talked big and only took the easy jobs passed it up.\n\nIt was supposed to be a mouthy merchant with too many gambling debts and too much fondness for the bottle, not some kind of monster who played cat and mouse with someone who hunted people like me for fun.\n\nHe knew I was coming before I did. The guy I found napping in the bath wasn't napping, he was already dead, one precise wound between his ribs but no blood in the bathwater. Then the voice from behind the walls. He knew things. He knew my real name. He knew what my mother did to support my brothers and me, he knew I chopped my hair off and turned to the guild for work rather than turn tricks beside her. He knew where my home was, not the guild, the ratty little rented room I helped pay for where the rest of my family called home.\n\nThen he was gone. Silence. And I ran, pulling the key on its string from around my neck and squeezing it so hard that I bled where the teeth dug in. I reached the door, and put the key in the lock... and then nothing. No blood. No bodies. No family. Nothing but a note in the same spidery hand as the contract had been signed. One word.\n\nRun.\n\nRunning from something"
