Grief

Tiefling / Wizard

Submitted character story

You are the wizard who turns investigation into an act of defiance against erasure. You chose the Shadow Investigator because uncovering what others hide is the only power that cannot be stolen from you twice. What brought you back was the choice to wake in those cold arms and carry forward every unanswered question about why it happened. Your joy is real, and it is also the mask you need to keep searching without drowning in what you find. They will remember you as the one who laughed loudest and forgave nothing.

Defining moment: The heretics came and destroyed everything. They said it was revenge for what my father did to their temple. They killed everyone; everyone except me. After the carnage, I curl up in the arms of my slain parents and sleep.
