You're the kind of hero who rides Old Yost's Cart and plays The Quiet Strategist because hope demands calculation. What brought you back wasn't rage or vengeance, but the weight of half a soul trapped in metal. You carry the secret fear that your companions are obstacles between you and resurrection, not allies. They'll remember you as the wizard who saved everyone except the one person who mattered most.

Defining moment: Gray's wife was brutally murdered by a pack of cultists. He descended to the first layer of hell, Avernus, to get her soul back. He was able to find one half of her soul in a coin, but hasn't found the other half and doesn't have the means to resurrect her yet. He worries that his moronic party will get him killed before he can see his wife again.
