"story": "Fiacre grew up in a castle near Loudwater, sandwiched between Waterdhavian territory to the west and Zhent-occupied territory to the east. Between the Zhents, the local monsters and their obligations to the Lords' Alliance, the life of House Drwgwaithe was constant, unrelenting warfare.\n\nFiacre was the youngest of 13 children of Baron Drwgwaithe and the baron's only daughter. By the time she was 15 years old, she had already buried four of her brothers. She and Death had become very familiar with each other.\n\nThat was when she met a priest of Kelemvor who was on his way to Waterdeep. He performed the funeral rights for that fourth fallen brother, whose unit had been wiped out by a column of undead Zhent cavalry. \n\nThe undead had always been a sore spot for Fiacre, especially when the Zhents created them to use as soldiers. It was one of the most repulsive things the Zhents did. She was surprised to learn that this death priest agreed with her.\n\nThe priest told Fiacre that Kelemvor, as the Judge of the Dead, hates the undead above all else. Undeath is an escape from the afterlife. The dead must remain dead and face their final judgements. It is the prime duty of the clergy of Kelemvor to see that the dead reach their afterlives, their judgements and their final rewards, and he grants his clergy great powers to destroy the undead and to protect the recently dead from becoming undead.\n\nIt was then that Fiacre finally knew what to do with her life. She decided to join the church of Kelemvor and become a Doomguide. (2e Faiths & Avatars)\n\nWhile studying to become a Doomguide, Fiacre also learned to transform into a raven at will (useful as a travel power) and she also mastered the Chilling Scythe spell. (spell is in 2e Faiths & Avatars, spell mastery is from 2.5e Spells & Magic) As part of the standard abilities of a Doomguide, her Turning ability can destroy twice as many undead as a normal Cleric. Fiacre was only 19 years old when she graduated from seminary and received her clerical investment as a Doomguide.\n\nAlthough she has not yet returned to Castle Drwgwaithe as an adult, Fiacre has done more than her share to rid the area of the undead, by joining a team of undead hunters in Waterdeep.\n\n(The name is pronounced \"FAH-kruh DROOG-wah-thee.\" It is a Celtic name. Fiacre means \"Dark\" as in dark of hair. Drwgwaithe means \"a place of wolves.\")"
