Farron Stark - Astral Requiem, is the legendary “First Hero” of Lucis, a wandering swordsman from the age before the Kingdom of Lucis existed. He began as a solitary adventurer from humble northern roots, traveling in practical furs, leathers, and weathered gear rather than the ornate armor associated with his later legend.

During his travels, Farron gradually gathered a small band of companions, beginning with Astrid, a spirited young woman from the Wetlands who refused to let him continue alone. What started as ordinary adventuring eventually became something far greater as the group became entangled with Lindzei, the Astral Wyrm, a catastrophic cosmic entity threatening the world.

Farron ultimately became the central figure in the struggle against Lindzei. The confrontation transformed him physically and spiritually, leaving him increasingly marked by the Wyrm’s influence. At Wyrmfall, Farron chose to bind himself to Lindzei and hold the creature within the seal, while Astrid completed the sealing from outside with the promise: “You hold the darkness. I will hold the dawn.”

To the world, Farron effectively died that day. Astrid survived, eventually founded the Kingdom of Lucis, and ensured that Farron and their companions became foundational figures in its history. Farron was later remembered as Farron Stark, Astral Requiem, and posthumously named the First Commander of the Order of the Divines.

In reality, Farron remained sealed together with Lindzei for roughly 1,400 years. His later appearance reflects that unimaginable imprisonment: the humble northern wanderer has become a darker, more imposing figure, carrying visible traces of Lindzei while still unmistakably being the same man who chose to sacrifice himself for everyone else.
