Long ago, Fafnir ruled a prosperous dwarven kingdom.

He dreamed of creating a perfect realm where no one would know hunger, poverty, or suffering.

His obsession with wealth and prosperity slowly grew into greed.

That greed awakened an ancient curse hidden deep beneath his kingdom.

The curse transformed him into a monstrous Wyrm.

During his first transformation he lost control completely.

The creature that emerged slaughtered thousands.

Entire districts were destroyed.

The kingdom burned.

Among those killed was his younger brother, Durak.

Fafnir remembers every moment.

Durak does not.

After the disaster, Fafnir concealed the truth from history.

He eventually rose to become one of the most respected military leaders in the realm.

From the shadows he began funding alchemical research.

Those experiments eventually created the Satarre
