"story": "Defining moment:\nEmmeline: A Barmaid from a guild taverns known as The Starvling Flute located in the\nQueendom of Brenine. Right next to the bridge leading to our beautiful Queendom’s palace. The\nspectacular home of the soon to be betrothed Princess Brienne.\nWhen asked,\n“Who is Emeline?” This is what people have to say:\n“She enjoys reading some of the tomes patrons have left behind in her free time around the bar.\nI think she secretly uses it as a cover to eavesdrop on what people are saying though! But you\ndidn’t hear that from me!”\n- A regular customer of TSF\n“Oh, Em? Man she makes the best drinks in all of the Queendom! Has a good ear and some\ngood advice. Why this one time when I was talking about my Wife.. er… I mean…\n”\n- Ronald the\nToolsmith\n“Oh Miss Emeline? She is one of my favorite customers. I always buy a n extra few dresses in\nher size, just in case, y'know? She loves all things shiny, sparkly, and red!\" Vivian- Blaidd\nClothier\n“Eme is kind, bubbly, and a real spitfire when she gets in the zone of reaming out cranky old\npeople or gross creepy men. She hides a dark past she doesn’t really like to talk about from her\ntime living with her family on their farm. Something bad happened there that she refuses to talk\nabout? How would I know? She gets this dark and faraway look in her eyes whenever farms are\nmentioned… eer… she probably wouldn’t like that I said anything! Forget that!”\n- Malekai the\nCook at TSF\n“Oh EMMMY!!!! Yea! She’s like my most favorite friend! Y’know! She’s always listening in on\nconversations while reading those scrolls so I know she has the best gossip to give after we get\noff of a long shift together. She seems to have a way with words. It’s kinda freaky how charming\nshe can be sometimes. It’s even weirder when it switches and the intimidation and sass comes\nout. Oh but that’s my Em!”\n- Adrielle a Barmaid at TSF\n“Ah Emmeline. One of my hardest workers until the recent happenings after the procession. I\ntook her in when she was only 20. Said she came from the farmlands way down south. I have a\nlot of customers asking when she will return so they can talk to her. Although I’d never tell the\nlittle thing, I love her like I love my own daughter. She came to me saying she was searching for\nknowledge, comfort, and camaraderie. I hope she finds that wherever she is heading next as\nwell.\n” Helga- Owner of TSF\n“Emeline is cute but I try not to think about it too much. I see her getting into people’s business\nand I respect her for how she helps this place, but I don’t feel the same way she does, if she\ndoes. I see her flirting and I’d rather not.\n” Theodore the Bouncer at TSF\nABOUT ME SECTION:\nPersonality Traits:\n-I’m willing to listen to every side of an argument before I make my own judgement.\n-A jolly smile and a cheerful laugh is the best way to start the day\n-I understand sometimes a little flirting goes a long way.\n-Sleazebag pervert is one wrong comment away from a slap\n-\nIdeals:\n-Self-Improvement- The goal of a life of study is a betterment of oneself (Any)\n-Beauty- What is beautiful points us beyond itself toward what is true (Neutral/Good)\n-Work-Ethic- Hard days work for a hard days pay (Neutral)\n-Positivity- If I can spread a little love, and that spreads a little further from there, I can make the\nworld a lovelier place! (Good)\n-\nBonds:\nHelga (TSF Owner and New Mom Figure), Adrielle (like a younger sister and best friend), Theo\n(like an older brother but also has a slight crush. Thinks his big frame and orcish features are\nkinda really cute), Malekai (Good friend and oblivious to his crush) (V Strong) loyal to her\nemployer\nSymmestra, Nix, Siofra (Now party) Strong. Will also be loyal to them.\nThe regulars keep food on my table and money in my pocket, it’s like having extended families\nover every day! One night soon\nbefore turning 18, her parents told her to come outside with them as it was finally time for her to\nlearn the family farm’s secret to why their crops rarely die or get sick with disease. She had\nalways believed it to be due to the diligent work of cousins or other workers as to why the farm\nwas so plentiful every harvest season.\nShe had slept through the ding of her spoon, and only awoke once the candle had\ngotten close to its base and the smell of burning wood near her bed woke her from slumber. She\nremembered her parents had told her to come outside and panicked. Racing to pull on her\nrobings, touch her pendant, and peek in on her siblings as they slept, she raced out the front\ndoor and into the cooler night air.\nRounding the house, she stopped in her tracks. Off in the distance she saw the\nsilhouette of two figures, whom she presumed to be her parents, standing with their backs\nturned toward her. She started to walk towards them, a little breathless, and they turned.\nStartled at her sudden appearance and with no way to ease her in, they turned toward her with\nsickly sweet smiles and honey coating their poisonous words.\n“Hi sweetie! We wanted to wait for you to join us but it was getting late and we needed to\nstart” her mother said as she held her hands behind her back. What was visible was dark and\nsticky looking.\n“Your mother and I know you’ll be the next of us to take over the farm. The Blood moon\nbefore every harvest, we have to come out and do this for the Goddess!” Her father exclaimed\nwith an annatural lilt to his voice that raised hackles on the back of Emeline’s neck.\nEmeline looked between the two of them, which upon closer inspection were covered in\nblood, and started to slowly back away while keeping her eyes trained on who she thought her\nparents were. She thought blood sacrifices weren’t real.\n“Honey… don’t give us that look! I thought you loved this farm…\n” her mothers words\ntrailed off in a way that didn’t imply that she was sad or disappointed, but was expecting this\nreaction from her daughter. As if maybe this was her initial reaction when Emre told her however\nmany years ago.\nBefore her father could say something next, Emeline turned and ran. She didn’t know for\nhow far or how long she had run, but eventually she made it to the Blaidd Goliath. From there,\nshe caught fish from the waterside and made her way north. Having been from one of the most\nwell known farming families in the south, she wanted to stay away from the city for as long as\npossible so her family wouldn’t be able to locate her.\nShe felt bad about not being able to say goodbye to her siblings, but whatever her\nparents were doing didn’t sit right with her. She pondered and mused if she would ever get to\nsee them again as she made her way towards the forest behind Blaidd. Once there, she set up\na little camp for herself and started to live in the woods on her own.\nBeing a smaller than average halfling came with its perks and disadvantages. She was\nable to hide well but couldn’t run very fast or very far. She stayed closer towards the outskirts of\nthe city. Not close enough that she would be noticed, but far enough she could remain isolated\nbut still dip into town to stay up to date on the current events.\nOne day about two years later while in town, Emeline met a large stranger with a bow on\nhis back. She was enamoured by its raw gorgeous beauty and the sheer power it exuded. She\nasked the man if he taught, and he said no then asked her where her mother was. She laughed\nand said she was a little big woman who took care of herself in the woods.\nThe man introduced himself as Griffith, paid for the stuff he was purchasing from the\nvendor they were standing in front of, and started walking. Emeline stood frozen until she heard\n“come on” and she followed along after him. They talked some and he agreed after swapping a\nfew stories to teach her how to use a bow like him. He took her to a toolsmith in town and\nhelped outfit her with a bow. When she pouted and asked why she couldn’t use his, he said it\nwas too big for her vertically challenged frame. She accepted the bow from him without further\ncomment. She chose a beautiful red wood varnish and continues to use the bow and his lesson\nto this day.\nAfter he was done teaching her the hunting lessons, he offered to take her on his ship up\nnortheast to help her escape from whatever she was clearly avoiding. Although hesitant at first,\nthe few weeks she had gotten to know him he had proven to be trustworthy. She graciously\naccepted his offer of passage to the north and they took down her encampment together. A few\nshort days later they had sailed towards Port Aleia.\nThere, Griffith and Emeline parted ways. But, not before he took her to The Starvling\nFlute for a meal. They ate and he paid. He had noticed the help wanted poster out front and\nwhen he finished paying, he asked if he could speak to the owner about their sign. Helga came\nto the bar and told him he wouldn’t be right for a bar maid position. He pointed over toward\nEmeline and asked what about her, and explained a bit of the situation. Helga’s face softened as\nshe nodded and then shook hands with Griffith before he walked back to their table.\n“You’ll be working here from now on to earn your keep, got it?” He told her simply, never\none for too many words. She nodded and got up to hug him before he left.\n“Go talk to that nice\nlady over at the bar. She’ll help you.\n” and with that, he was on his way out.\nEmeline went over to Helga and they introduced themselves. Helga told her about her\nnew job duties, the apartment that would be coming out of her paycheck, and that if she ever\nhas any issues to never hesitate to come to her\n\nArchetype: You're the The Listening Thorn. She learned survival in shadows, then chose to make the world kinder anyway.\n\nPersonality: Running from something"
