    "story": "This idiot named himself after Greek heroes when he was like 12 because he thought Leif wasn't cool enough. That's the kind of guy we're dealing with here.\n\nDynemedes grew up in the slums. Orphan. No parents, no money, no training, no manners. He started fighting in the local pit as a kid just to eat and he lost constantly. Like embarrassingly. Our DM made me roll a backstory fight once for flavor and I rolled a nat 1 and he said 'yeah that tracks for young Dynemedes' and the whole table laughed at me. But the thing about this kid is he just kept showing up. He lost so many fights that eventually he figured out how to win and by the time he was old enough to leave the city he was actually dangerous.\n\nNow he travels between cities entering tournaments and picking fights and taking adventuring jobs for the glory and also because he is fundamentally incapable of minding his own business when he sees someone in power abusing it. He's an anarchist but like the dumb kind. He doesn't have a political philosophy. He just thinks kings are parasites and if you put a crown on your head you deserve what comes next. His entire plan for a better world is 'kill the people in charge and figure it out after.' Our wizard has tried to explain why that doesn't work approximately nine times and Dyn just nods and then does it again.\n\nHe holds his greatsword across his shoulders like a barbell because nobody ever taught him proper sword etiquette. His armor is mismatched leather and plates he's picked up in different cities so nothing really goes together. His boots are a different shade of brown than his belt which is a different shade than his bracers. Everything has dents and repair patches and he thinks that's cooler than polished plate anyway.\nThe portrait is so him it hurts. He's holding up a signed sketch of his own face. He commissioned someone in a tavern to draw him so he could hand them out. That is a real thing he did in session. Our rogue stole the whole stack and Dyn didn't talk to her for two long rests.\n\nHis boss music is Pledge of Demon from Yakuza 0 and if you know that track you already understand everything about this character. He's the guy who gets knocked down six times, stands up a seventh, spits blood, grins, and says something stupid right before he charges. He's not smart. He's not noble. He's not chosen by destiny. He's just too stubborn to stay down and too angry to stop swinging.\n\nHonestly he's the most fun I've ever had at a table because there's zero pressure. He doesn't have a prophecy or a divine quest or a tragic love interest. He's just some guy from the gutter who decided he was going to be a legend and is too dumb to realize he can't. Except he keeps pulling it off anyway and that's the whole joke."
