Drakarion

Submitted character story

Drakarion was born beneath a blood-red moon, his first cry accompanied by a sudden flare of heat that scorched the air around him. From a young age, he was told stories of Aeteperax, the red dragon tyrant who once ruled through terror and flame. Among mercenaries and killers, Aeteperax was spoken of not as a monster, but as a symbol of absolute power—one being strong enough to bend nations by fire alone. Drakarion took these stories to heart, seeing in them a vision of what draconic might truly meant.

As his skills as a hired killer sharpened, so too did the fire within his blood. Along his travels, Drakarion uncovered fragmented texts and draconic records suggesting that his lineage was no accident. According to these sources, his ancestry may be touched by both Apsu and Dahak—the Creator and the Destroyer. From Apsu, he inherited discipline, endurance, and the instinct to master his power. From Dahak, raw fury, destructive flame, and the ever-present temptation to let fire consume all restraint.

This revelation reshaped his path. Aeteperax became his idol—not for the dragon’s cruelty, but for his dominance and unyielding presence. Apsu stands as the distant ideal Drakarion struggles toward, while Dahak’s shadow lurks in every battle, urging him to unleash the inferno without mercy. Now, Drakarion walks the world seeking to prove that a mortal, forged of steel and flame, can surpass the legends of dragonkind—without losing himself to the fire.
