"story": "Defining moment:\nThe burning ruins of the sanctuary reflected in Dirge So-rah's mismatched eyes—the left a piercing violet, the right an unsettling void of all-black sclera and iris. Ash clung to his pale gray skin and the stark white top of his two-toned hair. This was the night the Guardians of Lore were broken. \nThrough the suffocating smoke, Dirge sprinted with desperate, agile speed, his distinct runic hood thrown back. He flicked his wrists, conjuring ethereal, glowing daggers from thin air, sending the magical blades flying into the encroaching soldiers. Despite his reputation as a cynical assassin, his hidden heart of gold hammered with pure dread. \nHe was too late. He found his friend—Elbereth’s father—slumped against a shattered stone archway, life rapidly fading from his eyes. Dirge dropped to his knees, his lean, 6'0\" athletic frame shaking as he desperately tried to press his hands against the fatal wound. \n\"Hide her,\" the dying man gasped, gripping Dirge's collar with failing strength.\nDirge blinked, pulling himself out of the waking nightmare and back into the cold, damp present. He adjusted his runic hood, pulling it low to maintain his mystery and hide the grief etched into his features. He had been an associate of the Guardians of Lore, a rogue who walked in the shadows. But above all, he was the man who had to carry the ghost of Elbereth's father for the rest of his abnormally long life.\n\nArchetype: You're the The Shadow's Vow. He runs from nothing now, only toward the ones worth burning for.\n\nPersonality: Running from something"
