Defining moment:
The night her coven decided she was either cursed or a devil after finding her talking to a creature of omen, an owl. They chained her to an altar table and planned on sacrificing her to appease whatever curse she surely must have brought upon them. They poured something into her eyes causing her vision to slowly fade to black as she screamed in agony from the searing pain. Once the last of the light faded from her eyes, she heard the voice of the owl in her mind "Do not fret child, I will be your eyes if you wish." All it took was a single nod and suddenly she could see herself laying on the altar with the rest of the coven surrounding her. She felt something new beneath her, something cold yet inviting and without knowing yet what she was capable of, she watched her body merge into the shadows, not controlling the darkness, but becoming one with it. Within minutes her new connection with the shadows put an end to her entire coven, she is now the last survivor of the coven that raised her, only to deem her a curse and torture her. She tells people that she isn't angered by their actions because if they had never taken away her sight, she would've never learned to see.

Archetype: You're the The Shadow's Debt. She traded sight for vision, and the darkness learned to answer her call.
