"story": "I'm usually the DM for any given TTRPG group I play in, so when I get the opportunity to be a player I tend to throw myself into the character and get very attached.\n\nCapricia is a changeling wizard. They were part of a nomadic clan of changelings which lived on the fringes of towns and cities, always wary of the \"monoforms\" within.\nCapricia's insatiable curiosity had them frequently flaunting their clan's laws, and sneaking into these settlements in a variety of disguises, hoping to learn more about the people within.\nOn one such incursion, they found themselves in a small town stricken with a blight - a lethal illness which Capricia inadvertently brough back with them to their clan.\nOver the next few weeks, every member of the clan fell ill and passed away, with Capricia left as the sole survivor. Despite recovering from the sickness, they were forever marked by a scale-like blemish on their face: one which remained no matter what form they chose to adopt.\nAfter returning to the town - now deserted - Capricia found the home of a scholar and began to teach themselves magic, in the hope of gaining a better understanding of life and death itself.\n\nI had to drop out of the campaign after only a few sessions due to the gameplay touching on some subject matter I was not comfortable with, I have missed Capricia, and the lost opportunity of seeing where their story could have taken them."
