    "story": "Bel spent most of his life snapping off his own horns and filing down the stubs so nobody would know what he was. He's a Tiefling Devotion Paladin which sounds like a contradiction and honestly some days it feels like one to him too.\n\nHe's 25. He's tired. He looks at the rest of the party doing incredible things and genuinely believes he's the weakest link. Our fighter crit three rounds in a row last session and Bel missed two attacks and used his last spell slot on a smite that did average damage. That's his whole life. Showing up, trying, and wondering if trying is enough.\n\nBut here's what he doesn't see that everyone else at the table does. When the chips are actually down Bel is always the one standing between the thing that's going to kill us and the person who can't take another hit. Every single time. No hesitation. He thinks he's incompetent. He's the reason half the party is still alive.\n\nThe horns are growing back now. He stopped filing them."
