Half-Elf / Cleric

Submitted character story
You are the healer who learned mercy through the Blackfen's slow rot and impossible choices. What brought you back was your sister's blood, still warm on your hands when you broke your promise. You still see the soldier's face, the one you left behind, and every healing spell since carries his weight. Tables will remember you as the cleric who saves everyone but refuses to forget the cost.
Defining moment: It was the throes of battle. Outright was was waging around Azilya. He ran from person to person, healing what wounds he could before a familiar cry rang out nearby. His sister, Ahriya, had been slashed by a massive sword. There was heavy bleeding coming from her as she fell to the ground, limp. The man he was helping gasped for air and grabbed at Azilya's wrist, begging him to save him from his mortal wounds. "I'll be back for you, I promise." Azilya said and gazed into the soldier's eyes before pulling away and running to his sister. She was weak, her armor in shreds and a leaking wound made rivulets of blood fall down her face. Azilya grabbed her and used his final casting of cure wounds to seal her injuries and he barely managed to carry her to safety. The other soldier lay dying in that field and was far gone when Azilya went running back to save him.
