Submitted character story

You are a Shadow Investigator who moves through the world searching for answers others tried to bury. What brought you back was the refusal to remain a failed experiment, a blank line on a deed waiting to be filled with someone else's design. You carry the hunger of someone who knows what it means to wake up a century too late, replaced before you even began. Tables will remember you as the player who turned rejection into revolution, who made autonomy a weapon sharper than obsidian.

Defining moment: I awaken to my own reflection in the black Obsidian sarcophogus lid above me. Something is wrong. If I am awaken it should be open. Vorlagh should have opened it to awaken me. My master, my sire, my creator, my mentor, Vorlagh... he named me Vīshâdam Qvär.... shadow born from the grave... but he is not here to awaken me. The spell he put me under was supposed to make me sleep until he returned to dismiss the spell. It had a duration of 100 years and a day. It can not have run out... could it? I push the lid away from the sarcophogus. It is heavy and my limbs have atrophied in the last hundred years. I struggle. When I rise ti my feet, I find my strength is gone. I am weak with sleep and hunger. Tgere is a rat scurrying nearby. Weak as I am, I can barely pierce its flesh with my elongated teeth and drink its blood. The forst blood I've tasted in a century. I search for my master in the ruins of Dusk Hollow, his manor. But I find nothing save a signet ring, a legal document, and a note. "Vīshâdam Qvär, the experiment failed. You are not my heir. I will return to recycle you and start again, for now you are count of Dusk Hollow. maintain it in my absence. Do not search for me." The legal document is a deed for the manor and the passing of the Count's title to me. But the name is left blank. I lift a quill to fill in my name. Vīshâdam Qvär... but i stop. Shadow born of the grave... that is not who I am anymore. I fill in the name 'Azâdâin, emancipated one.
