"story": "**H-0138**, later calling himself **Ash**, was forged in the capital and placed into the service of the Crown during the war. He spent his first years as an ordinary soldier, carrying out orders without question or interpretation.\n\nDuring one of the conflict’s peripheral campaigns, his unit was sent to a remote, uninhabited island where an inactive artifact of unknown purpose lay hidden within ancient ruins. The object was deemed dangerous, but not dangerous enough to warrant immediate destruction, so **the forged soldier was left behind as its guardian** until further orders could be issued.\n\nThe unit left the island and never returned - it was either destroyed or simply forgotten. The war ended **several decades later**. Archives were reduced, remote outposts were abandoned, and the order to recall Ash was never issued.\n\nAsh remained.\n\nHe served for **more than two hundred years**, guarding an object whose purpose had long since been forgotten. Over time, the artifact began to deteriorate. Following the protocols available to him, Ash attempted to assess its condition directly.\n\nWhen he **touched the artifact**, a magical explosion occurred. An ancient entity, sealed within it since the time of the old war, **hijacked his command protocols** and partially rewrote his memory, implanting memories of how it had been **summoned against its will, used as a weapon, and betrayed**.\n\nThe reprogramming was never completed, but the memories became embedded in Ash’s consciousness as **his own past**. His original command authority was deemed inaccessible, and the outpost was officially abandoned.\n\nThe artifact’s energy collapsed, and Ash **turned to stone**, frozen with one arm outstretched. He remained in that state for another **six hundred years**.\n\nThe island eventually became completely uninhabited, and Ash became nothing more than a forgotten fragment of an ancient war.\n\nThe reprogramming gave him a new purpose: Ash believes that **he himself** was once summoned, used as a weapon, and betrayed. He will therefore seek out and destroy those responsible for summoning the entity — the ruler, the mages, the orders, or their descendants — seeing it not as revenge, but as **the completion of his duty**.\n\nWhen Ash awakens, he will enter the world not as an adventurer, but as a soldier — uncertain where his own will ends and where implanted memories begin.\n\nBut certain of one thing:\n\n**His service is not yet complete.**"
