"story": "An'khet was the shadae-kai victim and survivor if a soul knife assassin that killed his mother and wounded him but he survived. This passed the psychic taint into him. He became a soul knife and eventually passed from the shadowfell into the prime material.\n\nAn'khet did not have a moral compass, any sense of right and wrong. He was guided purely by what was expedient. This became managed when the group of adventurers which would eventually become known as Lord Izrouls retainers formed. For various reasons, An'khet became Lird Izroul's butler. Lord Izroul was a rather sheltered elven licensed Necromancer who eventually became the ruler of Crow Valley, a settlement that the group cleared and then inhabited.\n\nThrough many adventures, An'khet guided the young Lord thru interactions with people, also teaching him to be very careful with his words as An'khet would obey any order literally.\n\nAt one point, An'khet was ordered to attack a demon weretiger, and died. He was incorrectly reasurected after having become Lord Izroul's spectral servant, so ended up possessing his own body, becoming a reborn in the process.\n\nEventually their travels led them to the Shadowfell, where eventually An'khet fought and killed the soul knife assassin that had murdered his mother. When he did, the infection of psychic energy was removed, and he became a battle master fighter. He served as Lord Izroul' who later became known as the Merciful Lord after becoming a legal Lich, as his Butler.\n\nIt is likely that eventually he would have been turned into a Death knight..but that is the story for the epilogue of the campaign"
