Defining moment:
The fear in her sister’s eyes glimmered, her usually steady hands shaking as she pushed Amygdala into the weathered cabinet. “Shhhh, don’t make a sound, Lovebug. Remember our game, Hide and Seek?” Her voice trembled as she said the words and forced a smile. Aeywah’s pet name rang hollow in Amygdala’s ears - she knew something was wrong, but couldn't name it. 
A loud bang at the cabin door startled Aeywah, and she grabbed Amygdala’s small hands fiercely enough to draw a small gasp of pain from her little sister. “You mustn’t let anyone find you here. Remember what I taught you.” Her eyes turned black as she silently closed the cabinet door. “I love you, Amygdala.”, she said through the closed door, voice muffled by the oaken barrier. 

Hours later, Amygdala emerged from the cabinet to a dark cabin. She called out for her sister, who was never seen again.
