    "story": "Almos Goteet is a crafty, inventive Artificer with a heart of gold and a mischievous streak a mile wide.\nPersonality\nAlmos is a goofy, fun-loving guy who brings levity and chaos to any party. He’s the type to rig a prank bucket over the tavern door or swap his companions’ potions with colorful (but harmless) dyes. Despite his playful nature, he’s deeply loyal and will go to extreme lengths to protect his friends.\nBackground\nOriginating from deep underground realms beneath the mountains, Almos emerged into the surface world with an insatiable curiosity for craftsmanship. He immersed himself in dwarven culture and forged a strong bond with three dwarf brothers who taught him their ancestral techniques, rune carving, and advanced technology. Through them, he mastered blending magic with machinery in unique and powerful ways.\nDuring one mining expedition, a catastrophic cave-in crushed his left hand. Refusing to be defeated, Almos crafted a new mechanical hand for himself, which he affectionately calls Lefty. Over time, this prosthetic became infused with wild magic, causing unpredictable surges of arcane energy whenever he uses it in melee combat.\nAlmos is notably small and physically weak, which led him to create the Armor of Magical Strength. This powered suit helps him in battle and includes charges that automatically stand him back up if he is knocked prone.\nSignature Tools & Items\n•  Infinite Water Cup: A deceptively simple-looking travel mug that serves as a portal to a volatile water dimension. When the lid is removed, it unleashes a high-pressure torrent—perfect for putting out fires, blasting enemies, or pulling the ultimate prank. Because Almos is so small and weak, the force of the cup often sends him flying around uncontrollably like an untethered fire hose.\n•  Come Back Sally (Returning Boomerang): His trusted boomerang that returns to his hand if it strikes its target.\n•  Spellcasting Quarterstaff: His reliable staff serves as both a melee weapon and the primary focus for channeling his magical inventions.\n•  Tiny Duck Crown: Each dawn, when Almos wears this crown, he rolls a percentage die. The result determines how many ducks are summoned from up to 50 miles away. These ducks will obediently follow him and carry out his commands whenever he speaks the word “duck.”\n•  GOO53 (Battle Goose Homunculus): A homunculus servant crafted in the shape of a goose (the name cleverly styled to look like “GOOSE”). GOO53 assists Almos with his artificer work and doubles as a formidable battle companion. By fusing the homunculus with an eldritch cannon, it can transform during combat into:\n\t•  A flamethrower\n\t•  A force ballista\n\t•  A protector mode that grants temporary hit points to the party\nTogether, Almos and GOO53 have saved the party multiple times—but their chaotic inventions have also thrown the group into great peril on more than one occasion.\nLegendary Sacrifice\nAlmos’s greatest act came during the campaign against the vicious blue dragon Indra. When his party discovered a magical tower capable of time travel, Almos made a profound self-sacrifice: he volunteered to stay behind in the past to prepare the weapons they would need to slay the dragon.\nNearly 200 years passed for him. While his companions continued forward in time, Almos devoted his life to research and invention. As age and exhaustion finally caught up with him, he placed himself in temporal stasis—freezing his body in time so he could still fight alongside his friends when the moment came.\nWhen the party finally reached Indra’s lair and opened the weapons cache Almos had promised them, they were stunned to find not just powerful gear… but an elderly, battle-worn Almos emerging from his time-freeze. Frail but determined, the same goofy inventor who had pranked them years ago (from their perspective) was ready to help deliver the final blow to the dragon.\n\nAlmos Goteet is the perfect blend of comic relief, brilliant inventor, and quiet hero — a character whose love for his friends literally let him bend time itself to stand with them one last time."
